Lab Rules

Lab Rules

  • You should read the relevant parts of the lab book and fill in the Pre-Lab report before coming to the lab.
  • Labs are performed on lab tables with two students at most. Your lab table and lab partner will be determined by your instructor.
  • In the first 10 mins. your instructor will make a demonstration of the experiment. Then you are on your own to perform the experiment with your lab partner.
  • Follow the instructions on lab sheets. It is important to perform the experiment on your own, without assistance of anyone (except your lab partner). If you think you have a problem with the setup (any missing cable/broken device etc.), then you may consult to your instructor.
  • You should come to lab on time. If you miss the DEMO of the lab (first 10 mins.), you are allowed to enter the lab in the first 30 mins! but you are on your own. You cannot work with your lab partner, or any other lab mate.
  • If you are late more than 30 mins, you miss that experiment and no make-up is possible except regular make-up conditions!
  • If you are late, consult to your lab instructor before starting the experiment. If your instructor does not mark your name on attendance, your lab report will not be valid.
  • You cannot exit the lab without permission of your instructor except the a case of health emergency.
  • At the end of the lab, hand in your lab report to your instructor.
  • No food or drink (except a small bottle of water) is accepted to the labs. Keep your water bottles closed and in your bags during the experiment. No friends or pets are allowed.
