10. Lab Rules for Summer Semesters
10.1 Lab Registration: In the Summer semester, the Lab Registration is face-to-face at the announced date and time.
a- The students should personally come to announced registration room and leave their weekly schedule.
b- Before leaving the schedule, the student is reponsible to confirm the approval of the assistant/instructor in registration place.
c- If the student is unable to attend the registration for an excuse, the student should inform physlab via e-mail beforehand.
d- If a student misses the registration, then the late registration will not guarantee that he/she will not miss any labs and it is possible that he/she can have a shedule conflict.
e- No automatic nor online registration is possible in the Summer term.
10.2 Grading: The grading in the Summer semester may differ from Fall and Spring semesters, and given as follows:
a- The applied exam grade is 6/20.
b- The participation points is 6/20.
c- About Lab Rules article 9.2, in the summer term the student should inform physlab via e-mail 7 days before his/her relevant lab session to be considered as excused.
d- Due to tight schedule, official duties and similar excuses may be considered invalid in case of impossiblity of giving make-up sessions in the same experiment period.
e- All other grading methods are the same as Fall and Spring semesters.
10.3 Other Issues: All other issues are subject to Lab Rules on Physics Lab Website:
a- In the summer term, due to tight schedule, extra rules/decisions may apply provided that they are announced on lab website before their application.
b- In the summer term, some rules may be overridden by the decision of the lab committie, in favor of the students in cases of force majeure.
